Apartment house Suomu A – a technically challenging and architectonically varying roof.
This demanding roof building project is special because of the work technique used on the site: the roof elements were built on the ground and then mounted to the roof.
The problems concerning the assembling and installation of the eaves shades were solved by building the six meters long elements on the ground and then mounting them directly to the roof. The work was much easier and safer that way. Also the corner elements were built on the ground and then fixed with the roof elements on the eaves.
What made this project nice was the smooth co-operation between different contractors. All were highly professional and very co-operative so the work flowed smoothly.
